There is a river behind my law office that's swollen over its banks. People other than myself have seen gators swimming around in it. So now when I go outside for a smoke break, I have to worry about being devoured by ravenous alligators. They like to feed on animals that loiter by the river's edge, which until some of the flooding runs off, is me and my fellow smokers. Fortunately, there are stairs nearby. I've heard that gators can't negotiate tight curves. I'm wondering if that includes stairways. But then, if a gator tried to climb the stairs to devour me, I'd die laughing before it ever made it up there, I think. More tomorrow.
