I would just like to say that I love it when I make civil procedure get down on its knees and beg me for mercy. This week we (a) settled for an almost negligible amount a case wherein our client- MY client, effectively, since I did 90% of the work- could have been liable for two hundred thousand or so and (b) dodged a very vicious Motion to Dismiss with room to spare. AND made the opposing counsel look like a dick. I'm assuming I'm allowed to talk about this stuff since I'm not naming names (uh, mulzer?)

In other news, I early-voted for Nader this morning. I got to the polling booth and thought to myself, I could vote pragmatically and give in to the Democratic party machine, but really, isn't a vote for Nader a vote for justice, altruism, and the values that I truly believe in? Isn't a vote for Ralph Nader a vote for the progress that the Democratic party obstructs and denies Floridians?
